An European ShootMania Storm Siege tournament at the Paris Games Week!

ShootMania Storm will have its first European tournament on Siege, featuring a prize pool of €10,000! One qualifier, two chances to go to Paris during the biggest video games trade fair: Paris Games Week.

The two best European teams should qualify trough the EU Qualifier. The top2 will be directly qualify for the European finals, Friday 2nd of November. They will face there the two best french teams !

During the first two days of Paris Games Week, eight french teams will try to qualify for the European finals !

ShootMania Storm Beta 1.3 update available!

Hello everyone,

We are glad to announce a new update for ShootMania: Beta 1.3.

1. This update brings a new mode called “Elite Exp”. Thanks for helping us testing the modifications made to the Elite mode. We’ll gather your feedback in a week to give us the time to see what you are able to do with these novelties:

  • The ability to destroy rockets with the Laser (instant reload after a successful deny)
  • Laser Jump on Tech blocks (like Power Paths)
  • Wall Jump on Castle blocks
  • Analog jump (the more you press the jump button, the higher you jump)
  • A new toss system at the beginning of a map.
  • 3 rockets instead of 4 for the defenders
  • Increased stamina for the defenders

If you choose to play the standard Elite game mode, it remains available in ManiaPlanet.

2. For map and mode makers in ManiaPlanet, we have also made available new blocks for Storm.  It’s now possible in Elite (Exp) to add checkpoints to decrease the goal’s capture time.

And for those of you who are still hesitating towards using the level-editor, you can see in the following video thatit’s very easy to use:

IGN Sports League is now officially supporting ShootMania in the US!

PAX Prime ShootMania Map Making Competition starts today!

Competition ShootMania Maps requested for PAX !  Get a chance to be sent to PAX to present your selfmade map and see pro-players fight on it!

You have awesome maps ideas in mind you’d like to create for ShootMania? You want to see pro-shooters players running around your map while at PAX? Then, this competition is made for you! Send your map and join the ShootMania event @PAX!

WHat are the requirements for your Maps?

Competition Maps:

  • maps have to be correctly validated
  • name: “PAX-‘name'” use what you want for ‘name’
  • no special characters in the map name
  • modes: Siege, Elite, Battle, Heroes, and SpeedBall
  • the maps are not uploaded anywhere
  • Intros & Outros are forbidden
  • the maps were not used in any competition
  • the maps are just known by yourself

Send the maps to the following email address: shootmania@ubisoft.com (email will be accessible beginning of next week)
Please use the following style for your mail subject “Maps – PAX – *your nickname*” and specify in the email your first name, last name and city you live in, else your mail may be missed.
