Review of the Gamers Assembly

Hello everyone,

The Gamers Assembly finished a month ago and we still have fond memories from the entire weekend. Firstly, we would like to thank the Gamers Assembly staff,  gamers and visitors for your help, support and the atmosphere created at the Shootmania Booth.

The Op3N ShootMania tournament was hotly contested! The combination of highly skilled gameplay and audience reaction made for a great show. We congratulate the teams that reached the finals (from first to fourth place) :

  1. aAa.oldschool (sunscorcher, Winz and Raoul), champions of the Op3N tournament
  2. allstars (HaRts, MoMaN and Strenx)
  3. Epsilon TF2 (Mitsy, basH and Stefan)
  4. Branque (skyyart, l’homme platré and OuTrag3)

A big GG to the aAa.oldschool for imposing their skill during the competition and becoming the first Op3n Shootmania Champions.

A special thanks to the “Grr” for their sportsmanship, even if they missed magic potion (don’t forget the cauldron next time!) Also thanks to ZeratoR for igniting the booth with great energy during games. But beware, we’ll beat you on the next game Glasses-Man!

Is wasn’t only ShootMania at the Gamers Assembly, TrackMania was also present with three tournaments (TrackMania Nations Forever, TrackMania United Forever and TrackMania² Canyon). All three tournaments were very close with great atmosphere. Congratulations YoYo for taking the first place on TMNF, Kaka on TMUF and Waaam on TrackMania² Canyon!

In a cold country…

TrackMania players are heating up! Now it’s Norway’s turn to get the monthly car.

In the pack you’ll find the Norwegian car, the desktop calendar for May and a sticker pack containing a speed stripe, a NORWAY text decal, a 2012 flag, a Norway Badge and a pair of Checkered Flags.

This new free pack is available at the “ManiaPlanet Store”.

As always you’ll find the UK skin featuring the April calendar and a sticker pack containing the following items: UK flag, a Chrome Gas Cap, a UK badge, a UK 2012 text sticker, a Racing UK Map and a Car Vents.

A new driver appears on TrackMania² Canyon

You heard a freaking yell far away while running a race against a challenger when you saw something coming to you right behind… it’s not a car, it’s not a plane, it has two long ears apparently… oh my… it’s a rabbit on a cart!

BWAAAH yes, the Raving Rabbids are coming to TrackMania² Canyon for your biggest fun. For this special occasion check the video introducing this awesome car:

Want to drive it? Download it for free from our brand new ingame store via the ManiaLink “ManiaPlanet-Store” or directly with this link.

After downloading it, go on your profile,  select “Vehicules” option and activate this new car (please make sure you have your validation code with you. If you have forgotten your validation key, please check out this link to generate a new one).

Cocorico ! Cock-a-doodle-do

As promised last month, it’s now time for the French to get their own signature car. Thank you for being the second biggest community on TrackMania² Canyon!

You’ll find on the manialink “february-car” this awesome car gifted with a stickers pack composed of two French flags, a cockerel, a French cockade, a street plate to customize, a red space invader  and few typical french decoration items. You’ll also find the february calendar  featuring the French car.

But remember that for the next month, we are not absolutely sure who will win the pack between English and Americans players! So let the race continue and may the best racers win!

A little gift for the German community

Great news! We are very happy to make a little gift to the German community, which is the biggest one at this moment on TrackMania² Canyon.

We have created a pack to represent your country in the game. In this pack you’ll find the German car skin, several stickers to decorate it and a calendar of the month featuring the German Car. To download it you simply have to click on this link or go to the ManiaLink “january-car”.

And it’s only the beginning:  for next month, try to guess which is second biggest community? It is quite obvious, but for March there is a little issue, we don’t know yet  who will win the pack. UK and US communities are on a tie with almost exactly the same number of players, so who will have their pack first and show to the world who is the third nation of the game ?

If you have American or British friends to invite, they may tip the scales in favor of their country. Oh sorry, in favour of their country I mean :p

Multiplayer beta – We have a date!

Hello everyone !

We’ve never been that close to the launch and it is time for us to go even faster : may the red booster be with us!

That’s the reason why we’re offering from August 17 onwards, until the launch of the game, the multiplayer beta to each one of you buying TrackMania² Canyon.

It is a turning checkpoint for Ubisoft Nadeo as we will be opening doors to all of the players willing to jump into the 1st ManiaPlanet online title right away.

For $24,99 / £19,99, you will be able to buy the game before the launch and install the multiplayer beta, which includes the map editor and the mediatracker (for videos editing). Upon release day, the beta version will be automatically updated to the finale and complete version of the game.

It will be available on www.trackmania.com.

Should you fear to forget about it, here is a little widget to install on your PC : it will recall you the time left before D-Day and zero hour
